The transition from Preschool to Primary school can be a huge leap for children.  At Finglas Childcare Ltd we recognise this and have worked with Barnardo’s ABC project Better Finglas and local Primary schools to prepare the children for this transition.  Over the next few months, the senior Early Years Practitioner in your child’s preschool room will discuss completing a Transition to School information sharing form with you.  This will ensure that your child’s primary school teacher will have up-to-date information on all of your child’s strengths and interests.  This will only be done with your signed and informed consent.

My Little Library

To celebrate all 4- and 5-year-olds starting school in September, the Minister for Children has organised a gift bag of books for them.  Call in to your local library with some I.D. and your child’s date of birth and they will have a book bag and special library card.  More information can be found on this link.
